Take part in a FAIR Data Survey about the increasingly open use of Data in Science

The American Geophysical Union along with a set of partners, including the Coalition for Publishing Data in Earth and Space Sciences (COPDESS)Earth Science Information Partners (ESIP), and Research Data Alliance (RDA)

Invite YOU to participate (15-20 minutes) in the FAIR Data SURVEY.

The title “FAIR Data” comes from the Force11 guiding principles for data that is Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable (FAIR).

This survey is designed to ensure that YOUR views and those of others enable journals and repositories to better support Open Data in science.

As a participant, you will be asked a combination of demographic questions and questions based on your views.

The participation is voluntary and your responses will not be individually identified.

The data collected with the survey will help enable progress in research data management, documentation and preservation in the Earth and space science community.

A summary of the findings will be shared back with you in a format designed to assist your location and others to achieve the full potential.

The research is supported by the Arnold Foundation, with additional support from the Proceedings of the National Academy of SciencesNatureScienceNational Computational InfrastructureAuScope, the Australian National Data Service (ANDS), and the Center for Open Science (COS).

The survey is being conducted by Professor Joel Cutcher-Gershenfeld of Brandeis University, who is an expert in organizational effectiveness and stakeholder alignment.
