Srinivasulu Rajendran (India) is a Agricultural Economist at International Potato Center and his work station is based at Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) Regional Office located at Nairobi, Kenya. Prior to CIP, he was working with AVRDC-The World Vegetable Center as a Post-Doctoral Scientist (Agricultural Economics) in the consumption Theme and his work station was based at Eastern and Southern Africa regional office located at Arusha, Tanzania. Prior to joining AVRDC, he has worked at IFPRI-India office. He also worked as consultant at IRRI, IWMI, UNFAO, UNCTAD, JBIC and UNDP. He also served in TERI and ICRIER which are national organization based at India. He has completed M.Sc in Economics from Madras School of Economics and a PhD in Agricultural Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University, India. In his previous work experience, he carried out research on the India, Bangladesh and Bhutan. He is interested in Value Chain Analysis, Agricultural Technology Adoption, Household Survey Analysis, Monitoring and Evaluation, Impact Assessments and Applied Econometrics. He is specialized several econometric software packages such as STATA, SPSS, E-Views and GAMS. At CIP, he will work on the projects that seek policies for improving African farming system and livelihood of farmers through efficient agricultural technology and value chain system, particularly Orange flesh Sweetpotato context.
