
Project manager, information systems expert and convener at the Secretariat of the Global Forum on Agricultural Research and Innovation (GFAR). Member of the Secretariat of the Global Open Data for Agriculture and Nutrition initiative (GODAN).
Responsible for engaging partners in actions and initiatives around the harnessing of the power of agri-food data for improving vallue chains and empowering smallholder farmers.
As project manager, she's been responsible for work packages and tasks in international projects with a component on agri-food data, representing GFAR and FAO: the DFID-funded GODAN Action project, the Big Data Europe H2020 project, the EC-funded agINFRA project.
From the technical point of view, she's interested especially in the design and planning of information systems and tools based on "loosely-coupled" distributed architectures, agri-food data standards and semantic technologies. She has managed the CIARD RING platform and the AgriProfiles project and is now coordinating the work around a global Map of agri-food data standards within the GODAN Action project.

What is your relationship with agricultural information management standards, tools and services?
In the last ten years at the Global Forum on Agricultural Research and Innovation (GFAR) I've worked extensively on data standards and exchange protocols, in close collaboration with FAO and other partners in the CIARD and GODAN initiatives. I'm recently working more on legal and ethical aspects of agri-food data flows, on policies and advocacy.
