The conference will bring together policy and decision makers as well as the various technical and institutional stakeholders supporting the complete food/feed/biomass production chain. In order to fulfil the vision of a competitive and sustainable agricultural sector innovative ways are needed to use ICT that will enable the best managerial and operational scenarios. These tools can also support the necessary integration and intensive cooperation between all the players. These tools will help strengthen advisory services and ultimately foster small holder development.

During the 3 days of the conference the organizing companies - PROGIS, ADCON and forCert - will showcase and discuss the benefits of their technologies combined in an integrated approach with local partners. The discussions will focus on the development of pilot projects and their extension to the sub-regions. The case of Uganda will be presented, as well as other countries that are interested in benefiting from these tools.
This conference will provide the opportunity for participants to better define their basic requirements. Participants will acquire knowledge on the various technologies as they are applicable in fast tracking the integration of ICT to improving service delivery in the agricultural and related sectors.
