New Research Data Alliance (RDA) Outcomes

The period of review the new RDA outcomes has started. The three candidates here:

  1. Data Description Registry Interoperability. This is the outcome of the Data Description Registry Interoperability (DDRI) working group. The document includes the specification of the interoperability model implemented by the partners in this group and shows the testing of this model through an implementation called Research Data Switchboard, a collaborative project by the participants in this working group.
  2. Metadata Standards Directory. This directory enables researchers, and those who support them, to discover metadata standards that would be appropriate for documenting their research data, regardless of their academic discipline.
  3. Wheat Data Interoperability Guidelines.  It describes a set of guiding rules to foster wheat data interoperability, with the purpose of helping researchers create, manage and exchange wheat data. These recommendations have been prepared by members of the Wheat Data Interoperability Working Group (WG) in coordination with the Wheat Initiative, a global initiative that aims to reinforce synergies between bread and durum wheat national and international research programs, to increase food security, nutritional value and safety while taking into account societal demands for sustainable and resilient agricultural production systems.

Comments and feedback are welcome before the RDA 7th Plenary Meeting!
