Viet Nam National University of Agriculture to Host Two-Day AGRIS Workshop in 2020

The Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) of the United Nations is keen to partner with the Vietnam National University of Agriculture to continue to enhance the networks, sustainability and awareness of AGRIS with a two-day workshop in October 2020.

The workshop, “Strengthening the Accessibility and Visibility of Agricultural Data through the use of Semantics – AGRIS in South Eastern Asia” will include stakeholders from Viet Nam, Laos, Cambodia and Thailand.

The two-day workshop to discuss thematic topics and cross-cutting topics on management, use and further developments related to AGRIS, in particular in the context of research data in agriculture, and land with the objective to enhance knowledge sharing and improve visibility and access to agricultural sciences and technical content of agricultural and land research worldwide.

Given such new status, Vietnam National University of Agriculture must develop to become a regionally recognized university as his Honorable Minister Cao Duc Phat said on his first trip to the university since VNUA under the MARD.
