The VEST Registry browser by Tools includes different types of software used in the information management context:
- Content Management System (CMS). CMS is a tool designed to allow the creation, modification, organization and removal of information from a Web site. It is common for a CMS to require users to have no knowledge of HTML in order to create new Web pages.
- Document Management System. DMS is a tool to capture, index, store, retrieve, preservae, manage and disseminate electronic documents.
- Library Management System. LMS or ILMS is a tool to manage the acquisition procedure of information resources, the cataloguing (storage and management of bibliographic records), the circulation, the serials and the public search interface.
- Ontology Management System. a tool to enable ontology editors to develop ontologies.
- Simple Metadata Producer. Tools that allow to generate metadata as easily as possible.
- Thesaurus Management System. Tools for maintenance and refinement of thesauri.
- Miscellaneous. Different type of initiatives such as validators, parsers...

Multilingual Semantic Search Assistant
The multilingual semantic search assistant (MSSA) is a web-based tool helping users to find better information in fulltext-based or metadata-based search engines. The MSSA implements four independent functions, each associated with the AGROVOC multilingual thesaurus, to assist users in choosing better keywords: a Boolean search builder, a Topic Browser, a multilingual query builder supporting cross-language searching, a synonym expansion query builder. Currently set to access the AGRIS search portal, the MSSA is designed as a plug-in for any kind of search engine.

VIVO is an open source semantic web application originally developed and implemented at Cornell. When installed and populated with researcher interests, activities, and accomplishments, it enables the discovery of research and scholarship across disciplines at that institution and beyond. VIVO supports browsing and a search function which returns faceted results for rapid retrieval of desired information. Content in any local VIVO installation may be maintained manually, brought into VIVO in automated ways from local systems of record, such as HR, grants, course, and faculty activity databases, or from database providers such as publication aggregators and funding agencies.

OWLDoc هي أداة مسؤولة عن توليد توثيق صفحة html باسلوب JavaDoc لاجل مصطلحات OWL الزراعية. وقد تم تطبيق توثيق معرفة المجال (OWLDoc) لاتاحة استخدامها مع Protégé-OWL لغرض انشاء توثيق تبويب المعرفة لمعرفة المجال. توفر OWLDoc أشكالاً مختلفة من الخيارات. فعلى سبيل المثال أنه من الممكن ضم خلاصات التعابير التي تمثل الاصناف، الى جانب الخصائص والافراد. كما يدعم OWLDoc أيضاً امكانية أقلمة العلامات المستخدمة في الصفحات التي تكوّنها – ويمكن ادخال لغات مختلفة.

يقدم هذا العنصر الذي وضعه قسم هندسة الكمبيوتر في جامعة كيستسارف نهجا هجينا لرصد العلاقات غير المحددة بصورة سليمة للمصطلحات ويقترح علاقات محدد بدرجة أكبر من الدقة ويتألف هذا النظام من ثلاثة أشكال رئيسية هي التنقيح والاقتناء، والرصد والاقتراحات والتدقيق . وشكل اقتناء القاعدة عبارة عن عنصر يستخدم في اقتناء قواعد التنقيح من الخبراء بواسطة تعلم الآلات. ويستخدم شكل الرصد و الاقتراحات تحليل الجمل الإسمية مع مواءمة WordNet لرصد العلاقات غير الملائمة ولتقديم الاقتراحات بشأن تلك الأنسب اعتمادا قواعد الاقتناء. وشكل التدقيق عبارة عن عنصر للتدقيق والتأكيد.
