Organic.Lingua Workshop: Best Practices and Tools for multilingual online services

The Organic.Lingua project is organizing an online workshop titled "Best Practices and Tools for multilingual online services". The Workshop will take place on Thursday, March 27, 2014, between 15.00 and 17.00 (CET). You can find more information here.

For the online workshop, the Google Hangouts platform will be used. The link to the Hangout of the Workshop will be available in the event's wiki page and will be also forwarded to you upon confirmation of your participation.

The main goal of the Organic.Lingua project was to transform an online discovery service such as the Organic.Edunet Web portal to a truly multilingual service but not just using generic translations services such as Google Translate. Domain-specific multilingual resources have been used so as to give a solution that will work better for the agricultural community than the generic services. In the context of the project, domain specific Machine Translation and multilingual search services were developed. During the workshop we will focus on the Best Practices and Tools for multilingual online services, by talking about the Organic.Edunet portal multilinguality, multilingual KOSs, best practices and open source tools. The event will reach its end with a discussion about forming a working group regarding best practices in online services.
