I am a part of an Open Data initiative in Jamaica surrounding agricultural data from the Ministry of Agriculture, we are all young people. We held a conference earlier this year which was a huge success, please see http://slashroots.org I am trying to push for the use of semantic web technology to publish our agricultural data. I intend to use the AGROVOC vocabulary as our ontology of choice. I have 3 years of work experience with the Drupal CMS and intend to use drupal 7 to manage our data. I already have a proof of concept working with Drupal 6. I would like to build upon the activities of the FAO so that our data and efforts can be more useful on a more global scale.
