Editorial Journal Agrarian History

Scientific Network Journal "Agrarian History" publishes scientific articles in which the historical patterns of development and functioning of the natural environment and human life in it are considered. Particular attention is paid to the prospects for the development of agriculture both in Russia and in various regions of the world. The agrarian development of Russia was very different from the development of agriculture in Western Europe. The evolution of the Russian countryside was perhaps the most striking example of the role that agriculture plays in countries that have embarked on the path of catch-up development.

The journal prefers articles on the relationship between agricultural and livestock labor. The domestication of animals, in particular bulls, horses, elephants, and their use as a draft force for cultivating the land led to an increase in soil fertility. The editors will be grateful to the authors of the articles reflecting the historical prerequisites for the emergence of new species of plants and animals, since over the millennia of stay and work in agricultural labor in humans, animals have undergone very profound changes both in appearance and in the level of productivity.

The journal welcomes articles related to the historical development of land use and cadastre, the peculiarities of urban planning activities using cadastral information, in particular, the cadastral valuation of land plots and capital construction objects, the peculiarities of land use and development of territories based on urban planning zoning maps.

Thus, among the research priorities of the editors of the journal are the theoretical and methodological aspects of agrarian development, as well as the totality of social, economic, natural, demographic, sociocultural and socio-political processes that determine the trends in the historical development of individual regions and countries.
