About the Webinar:

In May 2016, AGRIS implemented the user profile service on the AGRIS platform, which allowed users to create their accounts on the platform. This was a community demanded service in the AGRIS E-Consultation Survey and is in line with current trends in similar abstracting and research community services. This timely webinar provides an overview of the user registration facility and the current features that are possible. This development towards a social AGRIS also falls into trends within similar services in literature search. The AGRIS team sees potential in having AGRIS sparking debates and collaborations based on AGRIS content.

About the Speaker:

Thembani Malapela, works as knowledge and information management officer at the FAO of the United Nations. Currently he is responsible for AGRIS user support and communications and in evaluating various ways of improving the AGRIS user experience.
