AgriVIVO joined by CABI with USDA and IICA on their way

The profiles of 66 CABI experts have been added to AgriVIVO, the search portal which allows visitors to search and browse information on 526 experts, 4,474 organizations and 150 events. AgriVIVO's scope: Facilitating the discovery of expertise and improving connections between all actors in the agricultural field, bridging across separately hosted directories and online communities.

Broadening the range of expertise with CABI's experts

CABI is a not-for-profit international organization with scientific research, publishing and international development at its core. They generate and increase access to scientific publications, and deliver change through development projects in agriculture and the environment.

Inclusion of USDA & IICA experts foreseen

The data currently in AgriVIVO come from the following communities: YPARD, AIMS, e-Agriculture, CIARD, CIARD RING, EGFAR, IAALD. In addition the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) and the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) are implementing VIVO platforms for managing their staff and experts databases. Exchange of data between AgriVIVO and these two big data providers is foreseen in the next year.
