The 57th All India Library Conference of  Indian Library Associationwill be organized on February 23-25,2012 in Mangalore, India with the following objectives:

• Strategic directions for building knowledge society by means of policies and programs
• A platform for sharing of knowledge and expertise among researchers, practitioners, knowledge managers and IT professionals in developing knowledge society.
• Explore the innovative ideas, knowledge and services that could be extended to the users in e-environment.
• Prepare LIS Professionals for sustenance in the digital library development.
