Created in Peru the National Network for Dissemination of Specialized Agricultural Information - REDIAGRO

In October the Government of Peru announced the creation of the National Network for Dissemination of Specialized Agricultural Information (REDIAGRO), which will serve to guide planning and decision making and strengthen research and innovation in agriculture.

REDIAGRO will serve as coordination space to optimize the joint intervention of the three levels of government in the generation, access, dissemination and use of specialized agricultural information from different stakeholders. REDIAGRO will participate in the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the National Network for Dissemination of Specialized Agricultural Information, especially for small and medium agricultural producers.
 
REDIAGRO will consist of units of the Ministry of Agriculture (MINAG), of regional and local governments. They may also be members of REDIAGRO other public and private institutions involved in agricultural activities, promote research and produce information of that sector.
 
The MINAG will be the entity responsible for coordinating, collect, organize, centralize, coordinate and disseminate national agricultural information delivered specialized entities REDIAGRO members.
