Learn about text and data mining and join the EIFL Webinar on the 6th of February

The non-profit organization „Electronic Information for Libraries“ (EIFL) will inform about text and data mining in a webinar for librarians on the 6th February 2014 at 10.00 GMT, 11.00 CET. The webinar titled “Text and data mining: what librarians need to know“ will be held by Benjamin White (Head of Intelletual Property at the British Library) and Ben O’Steen (researcher in the area of digital scholarship at the British Library) and will provide information about the definition and scientific importance of text and data mining.

The meaning of text and data mining for librarians and users who provide access to electronic content is planned to be discussed as well as implications for licence agreements. There will be a discussion round after the presentation and time to ask questions.

The webinar is addressing librarians whereas priority regarding the registrations will be given to librarians from EIFL-partner countries.
