The conference on Farmer-centric On-Farm Experimentation (OFE) linked to digital agriculture (#OFE2021) is set for 13 - 15 October 2021 and is open to all researchers, advisors, farmers and students. Interested participants can attend the conference virtually, or in-person at the event venue in Montpellier, France

OFE works to bring together all types of knowledge by inserting research into real-world farm management. A large area of focus for OFE is the use of digital technologies to document and support agroecological transition, while creating a way for innovative change in agricultural research.

OFE2021

This conference will provide practitioners and theoreticians the opportunity to:

  • Discuss their experience of OFE as an innovation pathway worldwide
  • Share their observations to explain OFE processes and further develop the OFE sciences
  • Propose recommendations and contribute to guidelines to support OFE implementation and standardization

The Food and Agriculture Organization’s (FAO) Imma Subirats will participate in the conference with a presentation on ‘Including farmers with other stakeholders in data networks’ on 14 October during the third session on data and analytics.
