CIRAD, the French agricultural research and international cooperation organization for the sustainable development of tropical and Mediterranean regions, is developing scientific information platforms to facilitate the discovery, access, interoperability and reuse of its publications, heritage collections and research data.

After upgrading its Agritrop publications database to an institutional open repository in 2015, CIRAD launched its "Sharing Knowledge in Sciences" open access portal in May 2021. This new portal brings together all the scientific and technical information platforms produced or held by CIRAD. An entry by type (publications, journals and books, research data, photos, heritage collections, teaching materials) and direct access by product guide the user in choosing which CIRAD resources to use.

The portal includes Agritrop, which feeds the FAO-coordinated AGRIS and CIRAD Dataverse (the institutional research data repository), and NumBA, the CIRAD digital library on the history of tropical agronomy.
