Over 11 000 new bibliographic records added to AGRIS Repository.

The first AGRIS database update of this year includes 11 035 new records catalogued by several libraries of institutions belonging to the AGRIS Network. The data predominantly covers Agricultural research, Crop husbandry, Nature conservation and land resources, Water resources and management and Food composition. Out of this data, 4 477 records alone were submitted by the Instituto Nacional de Recursos Naturales, one of the key Institutions of the Peruvian agricultural information network (AGRORED PERU). The other important dataset included in this update comes from KAINet, the Kenya Agricultural Information Network. Both are significant in that they follow the AGRIS vision to build institutional capacities and provide the necessary technical support in order to establish institutional and national repositories.
