Language barriers in organic & sustainable agriculture education

Organic.Edunet - an international portal serving the Organic and Sustainable Agriculture community - invites you to parricipate in the survey "Breaking Down Language Barriers in Organic & Sustainable Agriculture Education. The survey has been recently launched to answer questions such as:

  • What are the difficulties you are facing when searching for educational resources in different languages?
  • How do you cope with the segmentation of knowledge due to language barriers?
  • What kind of services would help you locate the resources you are interested in more easily?

Note that the questionnaire can be accessed in several languages.

Organic.Edunet & Organic.Lingua

Since 2009 Organic.Edunet bridges together a network of learning repositories, providing its users with a significant volume of relevant resources. It adopts a federated, standards-based approach that allows the incremental growth of the network.

Organic.Lingua is a pilot project, co-funded by the European Commission, that enhances the Organic.Edunet web portal by introducing automated multi-lingual services. It aims to study and understand better the multilingual needs while searching for resources: What are the current limitationts, the needs and requirements of all people involved in education, training and research in the related fields?
