What is your relationship with agricultural information management standards, tools and services?
As a rural agricultural research I use data at all level in the execution of my duties, especially the following: - to develop the background and contextualise the purpose of research for clarity and relevance - to develop the best-fit data collection tools to be used in research - after collection to analyse data using both quantitative and qualitative methods and bring to the fore emerging patterns - in line with emerging patterns from data analysis, to recommend and advise rural communities and rural development organisations on best way forward - to develop best-fit tools for use in monitoring and evaluating level of impact of rural development or humanitarian relief projects In the office I use data to inform day-to-day decisions on particular administrative functions for possible adjustment, if needed
