New community home for DSpace and Fedora learning resources

The DuraSpace organization announced the launch of the KnowledgeBase, a  new community home for DSpace and Fedora online learning resources.

Training and educational resources for DSpace and Fedora users

The dynamic organizational wiki structure of the KnowledgeBase is aimed at creating a comprehensive set of training and educational resources for DSpace and Fedora users. Once it is populated with content, the KnowledgeBase will help new users walk through the steps of how to get a repository up and running as well as various basic administrative tasks.

So far efforts on the KnowledgeBase have focused on designing a flexible structure to make it easy for community members to contribute any size or variety of content. In consultation with the community, DuraSpace has built an interactive home for materials, identified potential tools/guidelines for content contributions, drafted a list of topics to be covered, defined community roles as well as created some sample content.

How to contribute

The KnowledgeBase’s future usefulness depends on the collaborative efforts of the DSpace and Fedora user communities.
