AGRIS comes third in the Linked Vici Competition

The winners of the Linked Vici Competion have been announced and AGRIS came 3rd. This announcement was made at the just ended the 13th International Semantic Web Conference, in Riva del Garda, Italy.The Vici shortlist contains ten innovative, mature tools, which are all worth checking out. AGRIS shared the 3rd place with the Visualization of Water Resources & Ecology. AGRIS was represented at this meeting by Fabrizio Celli from FAO. Photos of the event are available here.

AGRIS can rely on over 150 data providers located in more than 100 different countries and attracts thousands of visitors on a monthly basis. AGRIS has participated in the previous Vidi competition; the reviewers observed that the system tremendously improved since then and now completely exposes its database as Linked Open Data.
