Vocbench is a web-based, multilingual, collaborative development platform for managing OWL ontologies, SKOS(/XL) thesauri, Ontolex-lemon lexicons and generic RDF datasets.

Designed to meet the needs of semantic web and linked data environments, VocBench development has also been driven by the feedback gathered from a community of users made of public organizations, companies and independent users looking for open source solutions for maintaining their resources. VocBench provides tools and functionalities that facilitate both collaborative editing and multilingual terminology. It also includes administration and group management features that permit flexible roles for maintenance, validation and quality assurance.

Originally developed by FAO and its partners, VocBench is nowadays, in its third incarnation VocBench 3, funded by the European Commission ISA² programme, with the project being managed by the Publications Office of the EU under the contract 10632 (Infeurope S.A.).

The latest production release is VocBench 3 v7.0.
