
Andreas Oskar Kempf is a knowledge organization specialist at the ZBW – Leibniz Information Centre for Economics, with branches in Kiel and Hamburg, Germany. He holds a Ph.D. in sociology from Goethe University, Frankfurt am Main, and received a master’s degree in library and information science from Humboldt-University, Berlin, Germany. His research and publications have largely focused on subject-specific metadata and controlled vocabularies for the social and economic sciences. His research interests include data-driven approaches for the further development of knowledge organization systems as well as the interoperability of knowledge organization systems and their integration into approaches and solutions of automated subject indexing.
