Apeh Omede completed his PhD in Animal Science from Australia, specializing in Poultry Nutrition. Apeh is a winner of several awards including Alltech Young Scientist and the World’s Poultry Congress Young Scientist. His energy is channelled towards encouraging and working with other young professionals to promote agriculture as a career choice for the future generation. He has volunteered for ‘Teach a Man to Fish’ and UN Volunteers Bangladesh. He also participated in the GCARD2 virtual Social Media Team, which contributed to his in how youths, agricultural research for development and ICT can work together to create change for increased and sustainable food production. He currently runs “The Agro-Youth Centre” a website dedicated to sharing views and ideas about the potentials and opportunities that agriculture presents to youths today. He is the CEO and co-founder of the GreenRise Innovation Hub, Nigeria’s premier food, agriculture and agtech business accelerator and incubator.  He was a web4knowledge remote intern with YPARD, a where he monitors and edits contents on YPARD’s website at www.ypard.net. Apeh will offer his expertise in youth development, use of ICT in agricultural research development, and business development as a mentor to the programme

He is a lecturer and researcher at Kogi State University, Nigeria. Apeh is an excellent scientist with several awards from different countries and organisations. As a side hustle, he is a 2016 Tony Elumelu Entrepreneur and also an alumnus of SproutX’s agtech pre-accelerator program in Australia. He is currently a co-founder at The GreenRise Innovation Hub in Nigeria, a platform that incubates and accelerates businesses and ideas in the field of food, agriculture and agtech. His experiences are in research and research design, idea and product development as well as leadership development.
