What are your domain(s) of expertise?
I specialise in promoting best practice in farm level financial analysis including benchmarking by developing and training farmers and knowledge transfer advisers on the latest tools and techniques available
What is your relationship with agricultural information management standards, tools and services?
I manage the Irish farm financial benchmarking system the Teagasc eProfit Monitor. As part of this role I have to analyse and link up diverse data relating to farm production characteristics with corresponding farm financial data. The challenges of data interoperability are becoming more and more apparent as the volume and diversity of data increases. I am very interested in becoming more involved in overall data management strategy development for my organisation and for the agri-ICT sector as a whole in Ireland.
