The Sixth Africa Agriculture Science Week 2013

The 6th Africa Agriculture Science Week 2013 is going to be held in Ghana under the theme "Africa Feeding Africa through Agricultural Science and Innovation" during 15–20 July 2013. This is an event to be organized by the Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA) as a part of three yearly continental gathering of all the stakeholders involved in the African Agricultural Developmentagricultural research and development.

As per the announcement on FARA's web, this event is expected to bring together the representatives of FARA’s constituents from all African and non-African institutions involved in African agricultural research and development.

During the 6th Africa Agriculture Science Weekthe African regional agenda for the next three years would be determined and the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP) achivements would be celebrated apart from showcasing the Ghana Agricultural Science progresss and achievements.

It is expected that the deliberations during the science week would increase the knowledge of problems, opportunities and successes in African agricultural research and development and with networking and interaction a greater awareness of the roles and contributions of stakeholders would be created.
