The AIMS Community received its 1000th member today!

AIMS is growing fast, only half a year ago the portal reached 500 users. Today this number has been already doubled with 1,000 registered users.

Who are AIMS members & where are they located?

The users of AIMS are primarily information professionals from all over the world with different technical backgrounds: librarians, information managers, publishers, information technology specialists, scholarly information specialist, researchers, software developers, but also non information professionals that are simply passionate about knowledge and information sharing.

As you can see in the graphic down below the biggest numer of members come from Europe (34%), followed by Asia (26%), Latin America and the Caribbean (15%), Sub-saharan Africa (12%), North America (10%), Northern Africa (2%) and Australia and Polynesia (1%).
