The AIMS team is pleased to announce the webinar “Islandora: Managing digital assets with a best-practices framework".
The webinar will present Islandora and its portfolio to support institutions and organizations to manage and discover digital assets using a best-practices framework. Islandora is an open-source software framework that is contributed to an ever-growing international community.
The webinar addresses (agricultural) researchers, librarians, information management specialists, software developers, (agricultural) journal editors, related data providers and other interested people.
About the webinar
The objective of this webinar is to provide an overview of Islandora and its solution packs for the management of digital assets. Islandora is based on Drupal, Fedora and Solr and enables its users to work with different data types (such as image, video, and pdf) and knowledge domains (such as Chemistry and the Digital Humanities). Furthermore the solutions of Islandora consider the needs of the editors as well as the organizations’ audience.
The webinar will present the concept of Islandora, example solutions packs for digital assets, activities, the benefits of being part of the Islandora community and achievements of Islandora.
