Launch of an international Task Force on Agricultural Learning Repositories (AgLR-TF)
The importance of adopting and promoting open standards and technologies for the design, development and deployment of learning repositories has been recently discussed by key stakeholders such as the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research, the World Agroforestry Centre and the Global Forum on Agricultural Research. Discussions have resulted in the creation of the Agricultural Learning Repositories Task Force (AgLR-TF) made of people/organizations that are relevantly contributing to facilitate the production and organization of agricultural learning resources around the world by providing guidance, tools and best practices. All individuals and organizations willing to contribute to the common cause of sharing and reusing learning resources related to agriculture and rural development are invited to register through the web site of the AgLR-TF.
