The GODAN Data Rights and Responsible Data Working Group invites participants to view the Webinar titled Cyber Security Law: Emerging trends and their relevance for data today.

Part of the popular GODAN/CTA series, this Webinar was originally scheduled for 28 January and was unfortunately cancelled. The GODAN Data Rights and Responsible Data Working Group is very excited that Dr. Duggal, due to popular demand, was able to record the presentation to share his valuable expertise.

This Webinar focuses on emerging trends in Cyber Security law across the world, as different countries have begun legislating on various aspects of the cyber security ecosystem. It explores the significance of these trends from the perspective of data in the present age and the cyber security legal challenges that currently face open data. The Webinar also examines key focal approaches that GODAN needs to keep in mind as it navigates the complex intersection of data ownership and cyber security. Finally it covers some of the important international legal developments concerning Artificial Intelligence, since AI is one of the hottest topics on the technological horizon today.

About the Panelist

Dr. Pavan Duggal, is the Founder & Chairman of International Commission on Cyber Security Law. He is also the President of Cyberlaws.Net and has been working in the pioneering area of Cyber Law, Cyber Security Law & Mobile Law. While a practicing Advocate, at the Supreme Court of India, Dr. Pavan Duggal built an impressive reputation as an Expert and Authority on Cyber Law, Cyber Security Law and E-commerce law. Additionally, Dr. Duggal heads the Artificial Intelligence Law Hub and Blockchain Law Epicentre, is the founder of the Cyber Law Association and founder President of CyberLaw India. He is a member of the Board of Globethics.net, a global network of persons and institutions interested in various fields of applied ethics and is a regular on the lecture circuit. As a writer, he has made his mark with 111 books on various aspects of the law in the last 20 years.
