Dear Library and Information Science (LIS) Friends!
In these days, to stay relevant, connected and committed to the cause of the LIS user community, IFLA has formulated a GLOBAL Vision to help libraries be more connected and stronger than ever before.
|
What are the core values of libraries?
What are libraries exceptionally good at?
What are the main challenges to libraries?
What would be the characteristics of a united library field? ....
|
IFLA’s Global Vision discussion brings together thousands of representatives of the library field worldwide to explore how a connected library field can meet the challenges of the future.
Please help shape the future of the library field and be involved in a truly worldwide brainstorm, strengthen it by your support.
HAVE YOUR SAY today (vote until 30 September).
The results of your voting will inform IFLA’s Global Vision report – a Roadmap (which will be published in early 2018) to help define the agenda (with Concrete Work Plans) to create a more united LIS field.
|
IFLA’s Global Vision is an important chance to contribute and influence the future of the LIS field.
Face-to-face and online, future-oriented conversations will be taking place throughout the year. To make this a true global brainstorm, IFLA wants to see participation from all countries in the world.
To that end, share your input by sending IFLA a simple, template-based report and let the world know about your engagement using the Communications package (along with a presentation and a report template have been prepared):
When carrying out communication your GLOBAL Vision activities, you can take the following actions:
- Share news about activities going on in your community and/or country using the #iflaGlobalVision hashtag
- Take a photo with the claim Together we create the future in your own language and upload it on your Instagram account using the #iflaGlobalVision hashtag
