On the 14th of February the conference "The Value of Unique Scholarly Identifiers to Academics, Institutions and Countries" will take place in Vilnius, Lithuania

Goal

The main goal of the conference is to explain to the wide academic community how the latest technologies have been changing their profile in the Scholarly Universe and what they can expect in the future.

The majority of researchers work in their own fields and are not aware what is going on beyond the visible face of websites and what is the importance of metadata for their presence on the intangible web.

Purpose

To acquaint the academic community with an array of projects implemented around the world with the aim to introduce work of researchers to the wide scientific community, as well as discuss relevance and importance of such initiatives.

Well-known speakers will give insight on the future of Scholarly Universe and the image of academics in it.
