Interesting insights into international projects on the second day of the LINQ Conference 2013

The two-day „Learning Innovations and Quality“ (LINQ) Conference 2013 started on the 16th of May 2013 under the motto „The Future of Digital Resources“. The second day of the conference was divided into four parallel sessions that gave all attendees the possibility to discuss learning innovation strategies in small groups.

The participants could freely choose to either take part in a workshop with invited experts or to be introduced to selected scientific papers and international projects of interest.

The workshop was accompanied by esteemed experts like Godelieve von den Brande from the Directorate General “Education and Culture” of the European Commission, António Moreira Teixeira from the Open University of Portugal and Ildikó Mazar from the European Distance and E-Learning Network (EDEN). The discussed topics included open access and digital repositories, online strategies and communities, e-learning and the findings of the European VOA3R project.

In the second parallel session 17 scientific papers on technology enhanced learning and future trends were presented by scientists from all over the world. In the third and fourth parallel sessions the results and insights of 55 projects about technology enhanced learning, knowledge networks, open access, open educational resources, VET, future learning trends and educational quality management were shared with the participants.

The conference was closed with an informal reception where all speakers and participants got another chance to exchange and wrap up the conference.

All in all the LINQ conference 2013 successfully demonstrated how learning innovations and quality management can be combined and gave its participants the opportunity to connect and exchange about trends and visions in this sector that becomes more and more important in a globalized world.
