IAALD announced that the XIVth IAALD World Congress will be held at Cornell University July 22-24, 2013 in Ithaca, New York USA. The theme of the congress is "Emerging Priorities for Scientific Information Research & Discovery".

It is "an opportunity for participants to explore, share, and discuss emerging priorities in discovery and access systems, content-management tools, and institutional or individual collaborations, in a content-rich era that is shaped by open-source technology, user-driven content, and partnerships."
