Winners EIFL-PLIP's Innovation Award announced – library services improving community economic wellbeing
EIFL’s Public Library Innovation Programme (EIFL-PLIP) has announced the winners of the first Innovation Award – for library services that improve community economic wellbeing.
The winners are:
- Africa - Kawempe Youth Centre in Uganda for their ICT and financial literacy education service.
- Asia - Agyauli Community Library and Resource Centre in Nepal for their Equitable Access to Information service which improves farmers’ yields and livelihoods.
- Europe - Belgrade City Library in Serbia for their Novcici service that improves financial literacy.
- Latin America - Public Library No. 56 El Bollenar in Chile for the Moonlight Women’s Workshop, which uses modern ICT and traditional handicrafts to improve women’s income.
