The Farsi AGROVOC is based on FAO AGROVOC which is the common thesaurus used by FAO for agriculture terminology in general, including forestry, fisheries, environment, etc.. Together with new concepts and revision of existing ones, the Thesaurus is now also available in Farsi. The Farsi version was released by partners from Iran. and has 16,762 Descriptors and 12,010 Non-descriptors. Iranian Research Institute for Scientific Information and Documentation (IRANDOC) will continue to develop and update the national language version.
