The Italian AGROVOC is based on FAO AGROVOC which is the common thesaurus used by FAO for agriculture terminology in general, including forestry, fisheries, environment, etc.. The latest release of the AGROVOC Thesaurus has now been updated on the AIMS web site. The Italian version was released by ISMEA, Sistema Informativo di Documentazione Agricola (SIDA), in Rome and has 16,792 Descriptors and 10,218 Non-descriptors.
