Survey on how information professionals use social media
The FAO Regional Office for Africa is inviting library and information professionals in the SCESCAL Region (Standing Conference of Eastern, Central and Southern Africa Library and Information Associations) to take part in a survey on social media. The objective is to establish how library and information professionals are using social media for professional networking purposes. The survey is anonymous.

The results will be presented at the XXth SCECSAL Conference to be held from 4th to 8th June, 2012 in Nairobi, Kenya and may also be published in a scholarly journal.
The SCECSAL region covers the following countries: Angola, Botswana, Burundi, Congo Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Madagascar, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Rwanda, Seychelles, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
