The management boards of AGROVOC and TESEO (TEsauro SEnato per l'Organizzazione dei documenti parlamentari) met in Rome last week to compare their experience with thesaurus management in a world of open electronic data.

TESEO is a classification system maintained by the Italian Senate, to organize and retrieve legal data produced by the two chambers of the Italian Parliament, as well as by some Italian regions. TESEO and AGROVOC share similar history and requirements for management and publication, and the discussion focused in particular on whether VocBench may be an appropriate tool for managing TESEO.
