AIMS participates in LOD2014 - Linked Open Data: where are we?

This year's International Open Data Day is on Saturday the 22nd of February, and is a day celebrated by individuals, organisations and governments interested in the Open Data .The AIMS team supports Open Data activities within agriculture and joined the W3C Italy in celebrating the LOD2014 -Linked Open Data: where are we?
In LOD2014, two presentations were delivered :-
- AGRIS: an RDF-aware system in the agricultural domain. The presentation was made by Fabrizio Celli on behalf of the AGRIS team. It focused on the RDF-ization and the interling of data within AGRIS.
- VocBench 2.0: a Collaborative Web Application for the Development of Thesauri and Concept Schemes. This presentation reviews the developments in VocBench leading to VocBench 2.0 and the future developments of this application.
AIMS team involvement in Open Data activities within the agricultural domain
- AIMS team participates in the Research Data Alliance and in the Agricultural Data Interest Group.
- Instrumental in the RDA's Wheat Data Interoperability WG.
- AIMS team participated in the G-8 International Conference on Open Data for Agriculture.
- Participates actively in Global Open Data for Agriculture and Nutrition.
