03/10/2012
For those interested to learn more and share experiences on the use of good practices in the creation, management and exchange of metadata, we invite you to be part of the Metadata Comunity of practice!
The Metadata Community of Practice focusses on recommendations regarding the use of appropriate metadata in the agricultural context, especially available on, but also outside, AIMS. You can post comments on LODE-BD and M2B, publish announcements and events and get in touch with similarly interested professionals.
What is a Community of Practice?
A community of practice is set-up to share experiences encountered in adopting, adapting or utilising them. Participants are a heterogeneous group of information management specialists drawn from over the world with different technical backgrounds - the beauty of this community is that it accommodates everyone!
Learn, connect, share, discover and participate:
- Learn more about information management resources and receive support on how to use them.
- Connect with other community members
- Share your experiences by joining a specific group of your choice
- Discover the current trends in agricultural information management, and what new solutions are applied by colleagues elsewhere
- Participate sharing a post on existing discussion trends, or your own stories.
How can I join the Metadata Community of Practice?
Register on AIMS and simply click on ‘Join’ to become a part of the community.
How can I contribute with news, announcements, case studies to the community?
Once you have joined the community, you can create a blog post. The post will be published only within the community, meaning that only other members of this community will be able to see your post. If you consider your post to be interesting for the whole AIMS community check the box ‘Public’.
