FAO Country Profiles launched a newly redesigned website that matches closely FAO corporate design. The new website comes after a user survey which sought to establish user expectations and information needs from the FAO Country profiles.The newly designed home page has a news section that gives information and news from selected countries, and also provides a list of FAO Countries with a link to their respective country’s pages.

 

The website aggregates various data sources and this is made possible through mapping information systems. Such mapping provides a fast and reliable way to access country-specific information without the need to search individual databases and systems ; thereby adding value to the information already produced by FAO projects and countries.
