On Thursday, February 6^th, 2014, Agro-Know Technologies in collaboration with the University of Alcalá, will organize the closing workshop of Organic.Lingua under the title: "Using multilingual technologies in web portals: Challenges & Promises". The event will take place between 15:30 and 18:30, at the premises of the Città dell'Altra Economia (CAE) in Rome, Italy, in the context of the Herbal.Mednet project meeting.

Organic.Lingua is aiming to enhance the Organic.Edunet Web portal, which offers access to educational content on Organic Agriculture (OA) and Agroecology (AE). Organic.Lingua provides automated multi-lingual services that will further support the uptake of the portal from its targeted audiences, facilitate its multilingual features, and further extend its geographical and linguistic coverage.

The closing workshop aims to present the developed multilingual technologies and framework, as well as their potential to be used in other web presences. Therefore, we would like to bring together people from different organizations and initiatives, active in the field, to discuss and elaborate on the challenges arisen from the use of multilingual technologies in web presences and on the promises these technologies bring for the future.

In addition, a networking session will take place during the workshop, giving participants the chance to discuss about potential opportunities arising from the Horizon 2020 Program.
