Invitation to contribute to a Survey on Peer Review, Impact Measurement & Dissemination of Research Results
The OpenUP project - that is studying practices in open peer review, innovative dissemination and alternative impact measurements among European researchers - is conducting a SURVEY on these topics. The Project team would be grateful if you could contribute by filling in this SURVEY. It is opened until Friday, 17 February. YOUR contribution is much appreciated!

You can fill in the SURVEY by following this link: http://www.surveygizmo.eu/s3/90026803/Survey-of-the-OpenUP-project by 17 February 2017. |
THE GOAL OF THIS SURVEY:
There has been a global shift towards making research findings openly accessible and free of charge to use.
Open science represents a new approach to the scientific process, based on cooperative work and new ways of diffusing knowledge.
- What implications does this have for the currently established peer review process and impact measurement/research metrics?
- How to effectively disseminate one's research, and through which channels?
The goal of this survey is to perform a systematic landscaping of the researcher community's current perceptions and practices in these areas.
Your answers are very valuable as they will inform national and EU policymakers in their work on developing open science and open access policies.
OpenUP will also develop a set of practical guidelines on innovative peer review, impact measurement and research dissemination practices which will be openly shared with the scientific community.
It should take, on average, around 20-25 minutes to complete all questions.
Please note that this is a voluntary survey.
Our strict provisions ensure that your answers will remain confidential and shall be used only in aggregated form.
For further information on our confidentiality policy, please see the Specific Privacy Statement in the following link.
If you have any further questions about the survey, please contact: [email protected].
About OpenUP's
OpenUP project – funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 - addresses challenges of the currently transforming science landscape and aspires to come up with toolboxes for the review-disseminate-assess phases of the research life cycle. Currently, the OpenUP Consortium is looking for projects that use Open Science methods and tools in their dissemination. Open Access, Open Science, Open Scholarship, accompanied by sharing enabling technologies, have revolutionized the way scholarly outputs are evaluated, published and assessed. Consequently, traditional ways of publication and evaluation do not satisfy the needs of this changing landscape. READ MORE... |
