DATA REPOSITORIES, STANDARDS AND POLICIES IN THE LIFE, BIOMEDICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES
At Plenary 9 in Barcelona, the BioSharing Registry: connecting data policies, standards & databases in life sciences Working Group presented its RECOMMENDATIONS, which are aimed at guiding users and producers of databases and content standards through the provision of well described, interlinked, and cross-searchable records on content standards, databases and data policies. They were also presented in a recent RDA Recommendations & Outputs webinar.
The registry already has a number of adopters listed on the recommendation page.
If your organisation is interested in becoming an adopter, please email [email protected] or join their community at https://biosharing.org/communities.
Wheat Data Interoperability Guidelines, Ontologies and User Cases
The Wheat Data Interoperability WG has also recently published the final version of its RECOMMENDATIONS. The group’s Wheat Data Interoperability Guidelines aim to foster wheat data interoperability, with the purpose of helping researchers create, manage and exchange wheat data.
The bioportal of wheat-related linked vocabularies can be accessed from the group’s recommendations page.
