Towards the establishment of an International Digital Council for Food and Agriculture
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the FSN Forum are running an open online discussion to involve interested parties in the process leading towards the establishment of an International Digital Council for Food and Agriculture.
Earlier this year, governments and international organizations decided to establish a council that would help realise the opportunities offered by digitalisation to increase agricultural productivity, while improving environmental sustainability and rural livelihoods.
FAO has been tasked with developing a concept note on what this digital council should look like and how it should function, and this online discussion invites colleagues to contribute their views and ideas to this process. The online discussion Towards the establishment of an International Digital Council for Food and Agriculture has attracted so far many comments, but the discussion is not over and will close on 8 November.
