Keeping your DSpace storage under control

In a linux installation, one standard command that can be issued is the du (disk usage) instruction.This command can be used to view the disk usage for an individual file and can also add up the usage for all files and folders contained in a particular folder.
The article then provides tips to reduce DSpace storage footprint, for example suggestions are offered on managing the logfiles and messages generated by the system.Regarding storage the article recommends 'Instead of keeping all your files on a single volume, storage can be distributed to keep a better overview and to optimally use the available volumes'.
