New Webinar@AIMS: AKstem service: supporting AGRIS data providers in publishing their content to AGRIS

The AIMS team is pleased to announce the webinar “AKstem service: supporting AGRIS data providers in publishing their content to AGRIS”.

The webinar will present the AKstem service, developed by Agro-KnowWhile this webinar especially addresses both new and old AGRIS data providers, it is also open for information management specialists, librarians, software developers and other interested people.

Abstract

The aim of the webinar is to present the new online service desk powered by AKstem service that facilitates the submission of AGRIS data provider’s collections to AGRIS, providing an improved interaction with AGRIS data processing unit. Additionally, in this webinar we are presenting the ways and methods that AGRIS data providers can contribute their bibliographic information (metadata) to AGRIS. The webinar is addressing to both new and old AGRIS data providers, as it will be an opportunity to gain a better understanding on the new service and its functionalities.

Presenter

Effie Tsiflidou is a librarian – archivist and has graduated from the Department of Archive and Library Science, Faculty of the Ionian University, Greece, where is also obtained a Master's degree in Information Science. In the past, she worked in academic libraries (European University Institute of Florence, University of Ioannina). Since January 2011 she has been working for Agro-know. Currently, she serves the position of Data Curation Manager, being in charge of the Data Curation team and its activities. She is also responsible for designing data models for different data types in the agri-food domain, for designing new approaches to data management and metadata curation workflows as well as for designing and developing data management open access policies. Since, June 2015 she is part of the AGRIS Data Processing Unit, supporting the AGRIS data ingestion workflows and the AGRIS Content providers online service through AKstemFind Effie on LinkedIn or email her at: effie at agroknow dot gr.
