PhenoHarmonIS 2016 workshop 9-13 May: web streaming available

PhenoHarmonIS 2016 workshop on Semantics for Harmonization and Integration of Phenotyping and Agronomic Data will be held from 9-13 May in Montpellier, France.  Rational and objectives, agenda and participants' list are available on the workshop web site :  http://tinyurl.com/ho4j922.  We are expecting 80 participants from 17 countries and of various disciplines: Agronomists, Biologists, Breeders, Geneticists, Agro-ecologists, Modelers, Data scientists, Data Managers, Bioinformaticians, Web Semantic experts, Data integration experts, Ontology engineers. 
The objectives are to
Expand the discussions to progressively integrate beside breeders and geneticists, the agronomists, soil scientists,ecologists, entomologists, phytopathologists and geographers point of views regarding the way to track, store and manage relevant, information. 

  • Assess across national and international projects the current approaches being utilized for harmonization, storage, and reuse data.
  • Share lessons learned from collaborative projects or consortia
  • Outline potential solutions/strategies to meet current challenges including
  • Define a value proposition for a sustained collaboration on semantics and interoperability
